Off-shore patrol vessels

Off-shore patrol vessels

Offshore patrol vessels are small vessels used by the navy. Their role is to check for the presence of submarines using a variable depth sonar system.

The hydraulic system is composed of a hydraulic power unit and a valve unit that controls a winch for release of a sonar sensor into the sea using steel cable.  In the event of an emergency (e.g. tangling in nets, unidentified objects, etc.), the cable can be cut using a hydraulic shear triggered by a manual valve.

Duplomatic supplies control systems for the winch and cable shear.  The products are created in line with the strictest MIL standards and allow equipment to function under critical shock and vibration conditions.

Surface treatments use special materials and coatings, aimed at maintaining the equipment during operations in the marine environment.
